The February issue of the NTTA newsletter incorrectly stated the next club meeting date. For this month, the normal “first Thursday” meeting date should have been shown to be Thursday, March 13. The meeting was moved back one week because of the Texas State Series event this weekend at Lake Bridgeport . So, there will be no NTTA club meeting tomorrow night. The meeting will happen next week, March 13 at the Spaghetti Warehouse location in downtown Dallas . Meeting times will be as usual. I apologize for the error, and I’ll buy a beer for any club member that shows up at next week’s meeting. (my fingers were crossed behind my back when I typed that…) |

| Competition Classes: Clarification... | ||

Let's say an NTTA club rider that competes regularly in the Novice class thinks he's / she's ready to compete at the Amateur level; do they have to permantly move up to Amateur? Can they "try it out" in the Amateur class and go back to Novice? How many competitions can they ride at the next level before they are not allowed to move back down? Are they allowed to try the next competition level for two or more trials if they ride as "non-comp"? Can an NTTA novice regularly compete in the next class up in non-NTTA events (say NEOTT events for example) and still ride NTTA events as a novice? I think there was some discussion about this point at this year's Novice / President's Cup event and I don't know if it merits an official posting of the club's stance on this topic. Thoughts?
